Meet upcoming artist D. Denzel

D. Denzel is a 30 year old artist who hails from Brooklyn, New York and currently residing in Toronto, Canada.

He has been performing in a musical setting since early childhood. Inspired by his father who was a DJ throughout the 80s and 90s, he began taking his craft more seriously around the age of 25 after being in the military. Having gained experience free styling throughout his high school years, D. Denzel began his musical career.

D. Denzel creates music under the Jngl genre, pronounced “Jungle”. He describes it as the rawness of natural sound. He also includes hints of Dancehall, Reggae, Hip-hop, and Pop. His most successful track is titled “Walk Like a Champion”, which was a recent hit. Quoted from an interview, “Just expressing my experience with perseverance keep pushing until your the champion”. The song includes a catchy intro that sets the tone.

There are many artists that inspire D. Denzel some of which that include Master P for his label, Jay-Z for his business mindset, Lil Wayne for his wordplay, and Drake for his support for Toronto and inspiring a whole new generation of artists.
